Detailing is a new process, introduced to the UK after it first became successful in the USA. It has become more and more popular, and how has a thriving popularity throughout the UK and other areas of europe.

In many ways, it is very similar to various different options currently available to look after your vehicle, however, many of these do not provide the best for your vehicle, in many cases, inflict unnecessary damage to your vehicle, which can reduce its value significantly.

Detailing uses innovative products and processes, which eliminate many of the problems associated with traditional vehicle care methods, such as avoiding the use of strong acids and harmful chemicals, using microfibre towels, and soft animal hair brushes to reduce the risk of inflicting damage to paintwork and other delicate surfaces.

However, the main process associated with detailing is paintwork correction. This involves using various pads and polishes together with a machine polisher, to remove a thin layer (Typically 3-5uM) of clearcoat, to remove defects such as swirl marks, scratches, and oxidisation. In this picture (right), you can see a comparison, once paintwork correction has been carried out, the finish is free from defects. This allows the clearcoat to reflect light perfectly, giving a flawless finish.
